Dreamt up as a shout out to beloved Skate character Coach Frank, I wanted to create an uncomfortable but endearing mascot that captured the feeling of what it feels like to bail over and over again and still feel ready to try just *one* more time.

San Vansterdam's local chain of skate shops. Inspired by clothing logos of the early 2000's. Pete Scarborough laid out the initial vision for this logo before I took over as art director and completed it with Eric Roche.

San Vansterdam's local music streaming service. Eric did so many incredible versions of this logo it was hard to choose between them. We settled on this one together and It's one of my favourites.

Two square billboard options I designed for Grabster. I was inspired by old cassette and VHS tapes. I simplified the classic vintage look to keep it modern and readable.

ImpervaTEK is technology that allows you to do insane things without getting injured. I wanted it to feel corporate and a bit untrustworthy.

Billboard design and copywriting by me. Logo and illustration by Eric Roche. "Live Fast Die Never" was a joke I made that stuck.

In order to allow for flexibility while using it in-game, I wanted to create 2 different layouts for the Ratty Patty sign; a square and a rectangular one.

Ratty's name and design evolved as narrative changed. He was based on a drawing that was originally created by Pete Scarborough's team but Eric made it completely his own and added all of these incredible Ratty icons.

Fictional Brands | EA skate.

My background in graphic design and advertising put me in a unique position to art direct and drive the fictional brands of Skate. I had the pleasure of working closely with Eric Roche, a talented graphic designer and illustrator for all of these brands. The process started with the narrative team and I brainstorming name ideas. After we received legal approval I would then create visual moodboards for Eric as a starting point for each brand. From there Eric would create designs and I would art direct them into the final logos you see here. Eric was a phenomenal collaborator and his illustration skillset made it incredibly fun and easy to create memorable brands that were used all over the city as well as in marketing material for the game. I designed the billboards and ads myself using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. These logos are merely a jumping off point, I wanted them to be flexible and easy to build upon for any future materials the game might need. Eric is a freelance designer and you can view more of his work here: www.ericianroche.com
